SO, it's spring semester of junior year as an undergrad and I'm still an English major! Not to say that I haven't had many waverings and quaverings of heart about it, but I haven't changed it. Yet.
And I've also finally settled on the fields in which I'm reasonably skilled and would care enough to become educated and go into a related career!
English/Literature
Political Science
Psychology
History
Anthropology
And maybe something media-related. I thought about Communications, but still can't get behind the idea. Surprise.
Of course, I can't go into all of them, but it is nice to know my own interests.
In the meantime, I have resolved to work on my writing skills, especially the actually writing part. It is slow going, but I think it's picking up. I hope.
I'm thinking about taking a gap year of sorts after undergrad. To teach. English. Overseas. It sounds good, doesn't it? I must work on growing my courage... and self-reliance... probably other things as well...
And then - who knows! Which is a bright, optimistic way of saying I really don't know and don't feel like thinking about it much yet. Grad school, most likely, for... something.
I just really want to go to film [slash dramatic arts] school though. And England. How 'bout IN England? Sigh. All those lovely theaters, and actors running around from play to movie to television...
[and a solitary tear trailed down her cheek.]
Well, that's enough emoting for tonight. I started a Tumblr in September, and the blogging I've done there has been short and sporadic. It is nice to write a full length blogpost again!
And at the proper blogging hour of two a.m., goodnight.
